City Walk at Universal Studios (Everyday)
City Walk is an entertainment district on the Universal Studios campus. Take the free water taxi from the hotel or head over on foot via a paved foot trail (<10'). The foot trail conveniently starts next to the hotel water taxi dock. A large variety of restaurants and activities await you. Find a quick meal or upscale dining.
Sunday Evening Welcome Reception, 7:15-9:00 pm (Free)
Immediately following the Sunday evening plenary session. Join your colleagues for a beautiful reception. Exhibit booths will be open. Mix, mingle, relax! Reception will be in Pacifica Ballroom with exhibits-posters.
Tuesday Evening Gala / Social Event "Luau", 6:30-8:30 pm ($60)
In keeping with the hotel's Polynesian theme we have organized a Luau dinner replete with roasted suckling pig (plenty of veg options, too!) The evening will include musical entertainment, Polynesian dancing, and a finale featuring... fire dancing! Suspend your disbelief for the evening and join us! Tickets are advance purchase only. Cost is $60. Tickets will be available for purchase through Monday at 12pm.
Wednesday Evening Halloween Horror Night at Universal Studios, 6:30 pm ($60)
Universal Studios does close in the early evening on Monday (6pm) and Tuesday (7pm). To offer a maximal group experience we have tickets available for Wednesday evening when Universal Studios park will open for extended hours for their "Halloween Horror Night". While there are fright zones and haunteed houses the most popular attractions (like Harry Potter zone) are open! Group rate tickets for this evening (Wed, October 3) are available for purchase at congress registration. Cost is $60. On Wednesday evening the park will be open through 12am (or 1am). We will have a special meet-up at congress registration at 6:30pm for those interested to go as a group.
